Timeless masterpieces from Tuscany
Handcrafted creations born from the passion of four generations.
The story of the Biagiotti family began in 1908, when Alfredo Biagiotti opened his first workshop in Pienza. Since then, the love and knowledge of wrought iron craftsmanship has been passed down from father to son — now for four generations. Today, Alfredo’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren — Alfredo, Samuele, Alberto, and Giovanni — run the workshop, where every piece bears the mark of fire, hammer, and the artisan’s touch.
From Design to Masterpiece
Each handcrafted creation begins with a unique design: hand-drawn sketches, carefully selected materials, and traditional forging techniques bring them to life. Heated to 900–1000°C, the iron is shaped under the hands of the Biagiotti masters, blending inspiration from the Tuscan landscape with centuries of expertise. Their collection includes original designs by the family, as well as authentic reproductions of Renaissance and medieval artworks — a perfect fusion of tradition and contemporary design.
Art that Decorates Tuscany
The wrought iron creations of Biagiotti Pienza can be admired in many iconic locations across Tuscany — from the dome ornament of the Pienza Cathedral to the waving flag atop Castello Banfi. These timeless masterpieces are found in Mediterranean villas, gardens, and interior spaces around the world. The family operates two showrooms in Pienza: one in the historic town centre, the other next to their workshop in the outskirts. Visitors are welcome to discover in person how these exceptional creations come to life. The Biagiotti workshop has also been recognised with the prestigious Artisan Excellence Award — a true symbol of Tuscan craftsmanship at its finest.
