Hungarian-inspired Busatti collections
We convey the natural and cultural values of Tuscany while pursuing our own mission through the contemporary reinterpretation of Hungarian traditions. At the heart of our work are innovation rooted in tradition, respect for craftsmanship, and the creation of lasting value. We bring this vision to life through thematic collaborations and cultural projects.
In the summer of 2023, a bespoke textile collection was created for the Zwack family and the Unicum House: for the first time in the history of the nearly two-hundred-year-old Busatti manufactory, a motif inspired by a Hungarian hungarikum was born. In the autumn of 2023, we created a joint lamp collection with the historic Hollóházi Porcelain Manufactory. This collaboration brought together a shared commitment to craftsmanship, elegance, and creativity.
In the spring of 2024, with the Busatti Furmint pattern, we built a bridge between the wine regions of Chianti and Tokaj, paying tribute in a unique way to our historic wine heritage. The project was realised through the collaboration of four Hungarian families closely connected to the wine region. Related short film: Busatti Furmint Design
In December 2024, we presented the Busatti Sisi collection created for the Royal Palace of Gödöllő. In the Busatti Sisi pattern, designed in memory of Queen Elisabeth, significant historical symbols are interwoven with the unique world of the Baroque palace. In the summer of 2025, we presented our Busatti Balaton collection, one of whose motifs was designed in tribute to the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany. Pieces from the collection were also placed in the Abbey Visitor Centre.
In March 2026, Matyó heritage was brought to life anew through our collaboration with the Museum of Ethnography. The Busatti Matyó collection brings together Hungarian folk art traditions and Italian weaving culture, placing a pattern heritage from the last century into a new, contemporary context. Why Busatti?
Busatti represents a textile culture in which quality, durability, and cultural sensitivity form a natural unity. The quality embodied by Busatti provides a foundation for these collections that allows Hungarian cultural values to become visible in an authentic and dignified way in an international context.
The collections we have created together with the Busatti family are not reproductions intended to preserve tradition unchanged, but contemporary reinterpretations. For us, cultural dialogue is the most important dimension of these works: the possibility that the rich diversity of Hungarian values and the knowledge of a distinguished Tuscan textile manufactory may take shape together in objects that carry functional, aesthetic, and cultural value at once, while preserving and passing on our heritage in a sustainable way.
