Description

GIGLIO BUSATTI FABRIC – A SYMBOL OF FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN ANGHIARI AND FLORENCE

Giglio is one of Busatti’s most meaningful fabrics — a tribute to the historic bond between Anghiari and Florence. On June 29, 1440, the Battle of Anghiari safeguarded Florence from the Milanese invasion and helped pave the way for the blossoming of the Renaissance. In gratitude, Florence granted Anghiari the right to use the symbol of the Florentine lily — a friendship that lives on to this day and inspired our ancestors to commemorate it through this refined textile: Giglio.

Woven from 100% linen, the Giglio fabric has remained unchanged in pattern and composition for generations. Its delicate lily motif and generous 280 cm width make it ideal for elegant table settings, refined napkins, decorative towels or cushion covers — seamlessly blending Tuscan tradition with timeless elegance.

What sets Busatti fabrics apart is their origin: still handcrafted in the same Tuscan mill since 1842, using traditional looms and natural materials — a legacy of enduring quality and artisanal excellence.
