DONNA DI COPPE CUSHION COVER – BLUE (GUADO)

As with many Busatti textiles, the exact origin date of the Donna di Coppe pattern cannot be determined with certainty. What is certain is the cup motif, the central element of the composition, which was most likely adapted from an 18th-century painting of Lucca origin. Over the decades, it has been widely used, even serving at one time as a stage curtain in theatres across Italy. Today, the pattern reappears, evoking the richness and significance of its past.
