PIENZA BUSATTI FABRIC – 60% LINEN, 40% COTTON

Pienza preserves one of the distinctive motifs of Tuscan textile heritage: a geometric diamond pattern. Woven in medieval Siena along the historic Via Cassia and, later, the Via Francigena, the design also appeared in the textile traditions of many European courts. Historic representations can be found in Duccio di Buoninsegna’s The Last Supper and in the frescoes adorning the cloister of Monte Oliveto Maggiore.

Named after the Tuscan town of Pienza, this fabric is made from 60% linen and 40% cotton. Its harmonious pattern and generous 295 cm width make it an excellent choice for tablecloths, napkins, table runners, placemats and kitchen towels.
